A funny friendship between the dog and magpie

The unique bond between the dog Peggy and the villainous Molly has helped the odd couple gain thousands of followers around the world via the social network Instagram.

About a year ago, Juliette Wells rescued Molly the magpie from a park near her home in Upper Coomera on the outskirts of the Gold Coast (Australia). She was walking when she saw the little bird lying on the ground alone. After managing to help the bird return to its nest, she decided to take it home and care for it.

Wells said that when Molly first entered their lives, Peggy the dog was a little confused by the furry visitor. But soon, the two became best friends.

"Their hobby is sunbathing together. They love playing ball together, they both love toys, they really just play and snuggle together," Mrs. Wells said.

Afterward, Peggy gave birth to a litter of puppies, and the dogs befriended her.

Peggy and Molly's unique friendship is well known on Instagram with more than 44,000 followers.

"Mom" Wells said that when Peggy had her baby, she was really concerned that they wouldn't be as close as they used to be. However, she found that they became more attached. Evil Molly keeps an eye on Peggy's cubs.

Videos of them playing and living together quickly went viral on social media.

Ms. Wells also said Molly was not caged and was still free to fly and play with other birds. She said she would be very happy if Molly could get married and have children and bring them to play with her.

"We're going to have a bigger family," she said.
