An abandoned puppy with a tail growing out of its head has been dubbed the 'Unicorn Puppy' after it was rescued.

The puppy's name is Narwhal the Little Magical Furry Unicorn

Abandoned 'Unicorn' dog with a tail growing out of its head.

The puppy, named Narwhal the Little Magical Furry Unicorn, was found by Mac's Mission, an animal rescue organization in Missouri.

The tail on the forehead of this dog is not connected to any normal skeletal structure, simply put, it is like a clump of excess meat on the forehead, this is why the dog is abandoned, but this has made Narwhal special too.

The Narwhal dog was found with a bruised leg and a tiny tail tucked between its adorable eyes, next to another dog that appeared to be bigger - possibly a shaggy terrier.

The rescue team also added that the tail on the narwhal's forehead cannot wag like a normal tail.

Moreover, the rescue team also wants to monitor more, in case the tail affects the health of the "Unicorn Puppy", it will be removed when the narwhal is healthier and stronger.

Cape Small Animal Clinic veterinarian Dr. Brian Heuring said after an examination, the forehead tail is currently completely harmless and there is no reason to remove it.

Because of its special appearance, many people have expressed their desire to adopt this

Because of his special appearance, thousands of people have expressed interest and love for "Unicorn Puppy" on Mac's Mission Facebook page.

Someone says Narwhal should be a permanent member of the rescue team and see him as the mascot of the Mac's Mission.

"I think you should get this puppy and let it be a therapy dog for children and other people," Dajuanna Decelle said.

Being different and unique is not a bad thing.

Thankfully the narwhal was not bothered by the tail, and the puppy was able to move about normally, but was physically injured and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

Narwhal still needs to be kept at the center to monitor his health condition

The Narwhal is currently unable to return to his new home as the rescue team wants to keep him for treatment while monitoring his development so he can intervene in time if the tail on his forehead is adversely affecting his health.
