The social network shared a touching and emotional story of when a dog stopped eating, fulfilled some of its owner's unfulfilled wishes, and then died.

The South China Morning Post reported on January 20 that a dog in southwestern China lay next to the coffin of its seriously ill owner and died after not eating for two days.

Many people believe that the loyal dog has reunited with his owner in heaven

 According to the patient's grandson, the dog is 10 years old and has lived with his owner since he was a child. It lay next to the coffin for two days without eating or even moving before passing away. 

At the last moment of his life, the dog even went to the eldest son's house to fulfill the owner's wish. The house had just been renovated, and he wanted to see it before he died.

"The dog ran to my house and died, which was also my grandfather's unfulfilled last wish," said the niece, surnamed Tang.

Another strange thing is that the dog died on the owner's birthday, which coincidentally made many people believe in fate.

A netizen wrote on social media: "The dog was afraid that he was alone in heaven, so he followed him." The story quickly "swept" the Internet, with 230 million views on Weibo.

Many also shared stories about their dogs. "My grandfather died on the 13th and his dog refused to sleep. Then he slept on my grandfather's clothes that my grandmother took out and spread on the floor," one person said.

The dog stopped eating for 2 days and then died with its owner in China

After the Chinese New Year last year, an 8-year-old dog named Da Huang broke through the house of his new owner and ran 40 kilometers to the village where his old owner lived. The incident has led many to draw comparisons to the 2009 movie "Faithful Dog."

In February of this year, a dog named Shibu Inu ran 8 kilometers back to his old owner's house after giving it away because his asthma was aggravated by the dog's hair. The owner was moved and built another cage to continue raising it.

In 2013, a dog searched every day at every bus stop in Chengdu (Sichuan) after its owner went missing. Bus crews said they had been searching for the vehicle for two weeks.
